Ghost Tour Briefing
During your briefing I will go through what you will expect on your investigation.

I will go through the rooms you will visit and what you'll be doing in each and every room.
Theatre Cellar
The theatre Cellar is one of the most active rooms for spirit communication in the Castle.

During our time there we'll conduct an experiment called 'Glass swirling'. It's very much like a ouijia board but without the letters and numbers on the table.
Salt Cellar
The Salt Cellar is another active area of the Castle that doesn't disappoint.

Children run around the Cellar making themselves known with running footsteps and laughter.

The children like to sit down on your lap, touch you and have been known to show themselves.
John Mellon's room
This is John's room and is probably my favourite room in the whole of the Castle once it comes to spirit communication. This is so very active with so much happening in this room that you could sornd an entire night in just this room.

John worked within the Castle whilst Adelina Patti owned the building.
Stanley's room / Charlotte's room
(Believed to be Patti's first bedroom in castle). This room is great for open and closed séances, with the open séance we can sit on a chair and call out for Stanley, George, Charlotte, Rebecca and Margaret.

They come forward very often during our time calling out, especially Stanley.

Stanley was a TB porter, he likes to make himself known by moving objects in the room, his favourite is moving chairs once we're all in complete darkness.
The Children's Ward
The Children's Ward involves using a ouijia table and produces so many great results with spirit communication. Like the glass swirling experiment you need to keep an open and clear mind whilst using this experiment.

We find many spirits that are connected to the Castle come through and also loved ones tend to come through too.

Ghost Tour Briefing

During your briefing I will go through what you will expect on your investigation. I will go through the rooms you will visit and what you'll be doing in each and every room. I'll explain in depth the equipment we have that we'll be using on the investigation and why using equipment can help with communication with spirit.

Also during your briefing I'll be conducting a health and safety talk in case of an emergency.

Theatre Cellar

The theatre Cellar is one of the most active rooms for spirit communication in the Castle. During our time there we'll conduct an experiment called 'Glass swirling', It's very much like a ouijia board but without the letters and numbers on the table.

During this experiment we can get 'Yes' and 'No' answers to your questions that are put forward to spirit. This experiment works very well when taken seriously with a clear and open mind.

We have a regular visitor that likes to communicate, her name is Elizabeth and she is just 7 years of age. She was a patient at the Castle when it was a tb hospital. Unfortunately that's how she passed away but loves visitors on the tours.

We have a male spirit that resides in the Cellar too. We don't actually know his name but has been seen many times by myself and people participating on the tours. He likes to walk around Cellar making himself known by touching people and showing himself mid experiment. But for some reason he doesn't like to participate in the glass experiment.

Salt Cellar

The Salt Cellar is another active area of the Castle that doesn't disappoint. Children run around the Cellar making themselves known with running footsteps and laughter. The children like to sit down on your lap, touch you and have been known to show themselves.

But there is also a spirit best known as 'Federicco', rumours have it he was once a chef during the TB hospital times. The children used to play down the Cellar whilst Federicco was working. This used to anger him to the point where the children used to hide; this still is the case today. He will make himself known, especially to women, he does came with a very bad bodily odour.

During our time down here we will be calling out for the children and Federicco himself. We will split up in pairs and individually to do your own calling out in different parts of the Cellar.

There will be many rooms to choose from.

Past experiences from myself and people on the tours include being touched, pushed and stone throwing. This is a very common occurrence during the time that we will spend down here.

John's room.

This is John's room and is probably my favourite room in the whole of the Castle once it comes to spirit communication. This is so very active with so much happening in this room that you could spend an entire night in just this room. John worked within the Castle while Adelina Patti owned the building.

It was thought that John was having a relationship with a fellow worker for some time. Adelina found out and frowned upon this situation and packed the girl off to London where they would then be apart. Rumours have it that the girl in question was pregnant and John found out about it and became very depressed. Again rumours have it that John ended his life in this very room.

John will make himself known to everyone, knocks and bangs, people being touched. The mist common way of John letting people know he's there is by making people feel sick and very dizzy.  Many people have had to leave the room just to try and get away from this not so nice feeling.  The window in this room has been known to been knocked and many occasions with no one in sight.

Could this be the small boy called 'Thomas'? Thomas likes to make himself known in many ways, he likes to pull on clothing and bounce his ball in this room and in the adjoining corridor. He passed away from TB and we believe he's around 7 or 8 years of age.

During our time in this very active room we'll be conducting a closed séance which involves every one of you holding hands in a circle. This is what I believe creates the energy and in turn creates communication with a host of spirit that resides in the building.

Stanley's room / Charlotte's room.

He's very mischievous and likes to make himself known in different ways. The best that I've experienced is the actual door to the room being slammed with no one near it. We called out for him to do something and that's what he did for us.

Regarding William, he was there at the same time as Adelina Patti, he makes himself known by using his very own voice. He likes to whisper in people's ears and stroke blow in people's faces. He's another great character.

Charlotte, Rebecca and Margaret are very playful children and will always join in when we start calling for them, they can be heard giggling and running in the corridor.

Like the glass swirling experiment you need to keep an open and clear mind whilst using this experiment.

We find many spirits that are connected to the Castle come through and also loved ones tend to come through too. The room has a lovely feel to it and great for interaction for the children that were once hospitalised here.

Experiments.

Before any experiment you have the choice to participate, if you're not feeling comfortable before or during an experiment you can always step out at any given time. Energy is the key to any communication to the spirit world, positive energy gives you positive results.

Equipment.

We have quite alot of equipment that can be used on your night. We have a K2, an EVP recorder, rem pods, rem bears, light up bears and light up balls. All equipment will be explained in the briefing and before being used in each room.
Putting equipment to aside, the most important tool is YOU. Without your energy and positivity, communication would be so difficult. Positive energy is the key to unlock our world from theirs!

Recent Sighting
Steve Graham was running a 'Fright Night' tour on Saturday 12th July and as the guests were leaving one of the upper rooms, prompted by something a bit strange, one of the guests took this photograph of the 'Children's Ward' as they were leaving. Now a Fright Night is not a serious ghost tour and apparently guests on the Fright Night tours are not normally taken into the Children's ward. So Steve was just showing them this room as an 'extra' to the Fright Night event. Only on this occasion the party was presented with something genuinely 'spooky'!

The image appears to be of a male or female adult carrying a baby or small object. Logically if this was the Children's ward, one is inclined to the interpretation that this is an image of a nurse carrying a TB child-patient, as this room was the 'children's ward' in the days when the castle was a TB Hospital. This is one of the most significant pictures ever taken at Craig y Nos, particularly given its location by the door into the children's ward - hence its top billing on our Home Page. See more on this story on our Blog pages.
